A poem I wrote about four years ago

Journey

We are on a journey

The ups... the downs...

Keep the path twisting and turning

But our Faith keeps us going

We are on a journey

With help from our family and friends

We continue to Grow and

Overcome the obstacles along our way

We are on a journey

At times Pride blinds our eyes 

To the miles of the day ahead

We are on a journey

Through Prayer our steps are guided

By the One that loves us unconditionally

Thank you Lord for the Journey

That enables us to understand,

Trust, and Love You more

My Word for 2015

I recently joined a group of awesome Christian ladies on line. They have been picking a Word for themselves at the beginning of the new year. To kinda stand by and to help them throughout the year. This a quote from the woman that is the administrator of the group..."Your one word represents the essence of what you want to accomplish during the year, but instead of burdening you with a list of tasks to do, it keeps you focused on an overarching concept of how to be. No matter what slings and arrows life throws your way, your one word can endure and adapt. " It took me quite a bit of praying and looking through scriptures to find "my" word for 2015.

My Word for 2015 is… Grow/Growth

I want to grow stronger in my faith, knowledge and intimacy with God. I want to grow closer in my relationship with my husband, children, family and friends.

My verse is...

2 Peter 3:18 (NKJV)

18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen

My second verse...Ephesians 4:16

16 from whom the whole body, join and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
